Meet Chanté LaGon
Chanté LaGon is an executive and life coach, author and speaker who believes that the clearest way forward begins with seeing our detours in life differently.
As founder of Detours Coaching, Chanté helps accomplished people recognize what they may not be able to see for themselves — where they are, what’s possible and what it will take to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Her approach combines thoughtful questions, deep listening and a bias toward action, shaped by nearly three decades of helping people, ideas and organizations find their way forward.
A graduate of the Emory Executive Coaching Program, Chanté brings formal coaching training to a career that has consistently centered on developing people, translating perspectives and creating spaces for connection and growth. Her path has taken her from journalism and Atlanta’s creative and cultural community to leadership roles inside a Fortune 50 company. Chanté's unique collection of experiences has taught her quite a bit about the value of an unexpected route.
Chanté is the author of By Way of Detours and host of The Weekend Warm-Up, where she shares real and relatable guidance for navigating love, life and the turns we don’t always see coming. As a speaker, she brings that same perspective to conversations about leadership, growth, purpose and what becomes possible when we pay close attention to the signs and signals along the way.
Across her work, the invitation is simple: See what you couldn’t see before — and use what you see to move forward.
